CDC Director Says Face Masks May Offer More Protection Than COVID-19 Vaccine
CDC Director Robert Redfield and other health officials testified before the Senate Appropriations Committee on the coronavirus pandemic and the federal response. Aired on 9/16/2020.
The pandemic all drags on and the more we know, the more the information put out by the CDC continues to change. We were initially advised not to wear masks. Then, the medical advice du jour was, my mask protects you and your mask protects me. Now according to Director Redfield, masks have the ability to protect those wearing masks from the virus itself.
What peer-reviewed studies have been published in the past six months to warrant this ongoing change in health-related medical advice? There is no worldwide evidence from any country masks to show that masks slow or even stop the virus spread in spite of the countless mask mandates in countries or in states here in the U.S.
During Redfield's testimony, he shows the "proper" way to wear the all-important protective mask.
